The Crossroads East for Men

Originating in 1960, as a half-way house for persons recovering from alcoholism, this 40-bed facility was rebuild in 1987 after a destructive fire. The new campus features men’s residence hall and administrative offices.

It offers a clean and sober living environment with semi-private rooms and three-meals-a-day food service. More than 50 weekly meetings, attended by more than 3,000 recovering addicts, are held in the very active 12-step meeting hall.

This extensive interaction between Newcomer and Old Timers is part of the key to The Crossroads success. Residents are given the opportunity to ready themselves spiritually, mentally and emotionally for returning as productive members of society. (^)

The Crossroads for Men Midtown

In March 1982 The Crossroads acquired the Turning Point Home for Women and converted it into the first half-way house for women in the Phoenix area.

In April of 2007, when The Crossroads opened a new women’s recovery complex, this home was transformed into a men’s facility. The goal of this facility is to provide low-cost help for men in recovery, who are at the end of the line.

Fees at this facility are substantially less than other programs at The Crossroads. This facility also houses the highly successful meth pilot program. (^)

The Crossroads West for Men

Opened in 2002, in West Phoenix, this 50-bed facility is set on a 3.5 acre campus complete with a large meeting hall, kitchen and dining facilities, three residence buildings and administrative offices. Built completely with funds provided by the recovery community, donors and grants, The Crossroads West mimics the successful formula of the East facility. It offers residents an exceptional opportunity to regain their lives through a twelve-step lifestyle within a nurturing, fair-minded environment.

Residents live in semi-private rooms and receive three square meals a day, something new for most. Currently, more than twenty-five 12-step meetings are held there each week, attended by more than 1,000 recovering individuals. This provides the Newcomer residents the opportunity to mix with, and absorb from, Old Timers who have successfully overcome many of the same obstacles. Likewise, Old Timers benefit from the Newcomers’ fresh reminder of the damage wreaked by alcoholism. (^)

The Crossroads for Women

In April of 2007 The Crossroads opened this beautiful half-way house facility, which houses more than 60 recovering women using the proven program of The Crossroads; women fellowship together, they are served 3 great home-cooked meals a day, and are given the opportunity to grow and heal in a safe and friendly environment.

This facility is one of the largest women’s recovery centers in the United States. (^)

The Crossroads Claremont 3/4 for Men

Acquired in 1998, this facility is a converted 5 bedroom home and offers a three quarter house living environment for five male residents. It is only available to men who have successfully completed their half way house program at the East or West facility and do not have a safe, sober environment to transition into.

Residents are expected to adhere to the principles and practices of The Crossroads; that is attending daily and weekly meetings, sponsoring a current resident at one of the male facilities, paying rent, holding a job and above all else, remaining sober.

Statistics have shown a dramatic increase of long term sobriety for the residents that have completed a stay at Claremont.

The Crossroads Mitchell 3/4 for Women

Acquired in 2005, the facility is a 5 bedroom home and offers a three quarter house living environment for five female residents. Residents must have successfully completed the halfway house program at The Crossroads for Women. Mitchell residents attend daily and weekly meetings, sponsor current residents at The Crossroads for Women, pay rent and hold a job. Most importantly, they stay sober. Long time sobriety is more likely in residents who have completed their stay at Mitchell.
