The Crossroads Substance Abuse Program is a non-medical alternative to traditional treatment that was established in April 2007 and was originally designed to assist methamphetamine addicts in their first 21 days of recovery to overcome the symptoms of severe fatigue, depression, paranoia, lack of motivation, mental confusion, and excessive hunger that accompany detoxification from methamphetamine use. The phenomenal success of this program has created a demand for The Crossroads to expand this program to include other drugs of abuse – including Heroin, alcohol, crack, cocaine, opiates and marijuana. Allowing Crossroads to better prepare all of our clients for a successful transition into The Crossroads standard 18 week service plan.
Clients accepted into the Substance Abuse program will make a minimum time commitment of 126 days. The first 21 days of this program are housed at the Crossroads Arcadia facility (5116 East Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ 85018), which is licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services, Office of Behavioral Health Licensing, as a Level 4 Transitional Agency. Once clients complete the first 21 days they can stay at Arcadia or transfer to one of the other facilities - Crossroads East (1845 E. Ocotillo, Phoenix, AZ 85016), Crossroads West (7523 N. 35th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85051) or remain at the Crossroads Arcadia facility. COST $45 per day, which includes all meals for a total program cost of $945, about 10% of traditional treatment cost. At The Crossroads we believe in personal accountability and responsibility. Our clients will obtain employment during the last week of the 21 day program or have an alternate source of income i.e. SSI/SSD, and then be expected to shoulder their remaining program cost. The Crossroads 18 week program costs $16 per day at the Midtown facility and can be afforded by clients with a full-time minimum wage job.
